#reflection on Changing Paradigms

What did I learn today? That there is potentially a shift from knowledge stocks to "on demand" learning and searching for answers in situ. It arose during a report from Deloitte which can be found here, in which the authors argue that good Googling is becoming the most important skill for students.
How was it useful? It made me think about my own material and how limited it is compared to the resources on the web.
What thoughts came up ? Upon reflection I realised two things: Students still need us to find good, reliable sources. Also, if everyone becomes a searcher, there is still a requirement for knowledge creators, searches are useless with results!!
What will I do with the information i.e. what next? I’m going to consider my own material, and where there are opportunities to introduce search strategies, and ways to filter out bad or unverified results.
